Goal → Build trust and overcome inhibitions
"CAPTAIN" team building
Lake Balaton knowledge quiz:
The following activity is conducted personally under the guidance of the boat’s captain. With over 30 years of sailing experience on Lake Balaton and true showman flair, our captain creates an atmosphere during the 10+1 question quiz as if the participants were appearing on a TV show.
Goal → Achieve assertive communication
Navigation and steering:
The first part of the activity involves navigation, determining the direction of Lake Balaton towns designated by the boat captain. Then, with the helming carried out by the deputy captains chosen by the team, the task is considered complete once the boat is set on the correct course.
Goal → Develop cooperation and communication skills
Mast climbing:
True, the name of the activity suggests climbing, but it can be completed without actual climbing. One team member puts on a secured harness, and the rest of the team pulls them up into the mast basket. The number of team members who take on this slightly daring challenge determines the total points earned.
Knot tying:
Completing this task requires a bit of skill and heightened attention. The ship’s first officer demonstrates six popular and effective knot-tying techniques, which the participants must master after some practice in order to achieve the maximum score.
Goal → Increase concentration and self-confidence
Pirate march:
Writing a pirate song or poem always brings out the team members’ creativity, especially if the creation must include 10 concepts related to the employer. At the end of the training, the works are performed, and their fantastic atmosphere perfectly crowns the program.
Goal → Unleash creativity
Target shooting with airsoft guns:
This activity is exactly what it sounds like: participants use airsoft guns to pop balloons. The team must inflate 10 balloons, tie them, throw them into the water, and have a chosen sharpshooter shoot them. The balloons and pellets are made from eco-friendly, water-soluble materials that break down within a few seconds, and once the time is up, everyone has the optional chance to try shooting.
Goal → Promote teamwork and overcome inhibitions
Sailor’s sack (+18):
A bag is filled with both nautical and non-nautical items. Team members must blindly select an item and then guess what it might be. Since the bag contains more than just sailing equipment, the activity becomes even more entertaining.
Goal → Unleash creativity, overcome inhibitions, and develop nautical knowledge
"ADMIRAL" team building
"Captain" team building activities +
Sailor’s punishment:
It used to be an old custom at sea to drag a rebellious sailor under the ship as punishment. The activity simulates this rather severe punishment, but of course not with the participants themselves, instead using lifelike dummies.
Goal → Developing problem-solving skills
SUP paddling:
Paddling a small SUP around the large ship to reach a designated point within a time limit.
Goal → Developing agility, team spirit, and perseverance
Pirate roulette(+18):
The teams receive a tray filled with shot glasses, half containing vodka and half containing non-alcoholic water. The teams drink the shots one by one; if they drink vodka, they must keep drinking until all the water is gone. The more vodka remains on the tray, the more points the teams earn.
Goal → To create a good atmosphere
"LAND-BASED" team building
Archery:
Participants can try the unique experience of archery at up to four shooting stations, aiming at both stationary and moving targets, with a variety of scoring systems.
"Plumbing":
In this activity, the team must build a water pipeline using the available materials (PVC, rubber, Polifoam pipes, insulating materials, etc.). They can only construct the pipeline if they use the tools creatively. They must pass a unit of water through the completed pipeline so that as much as possible remains in the container at the end. At the end of the game, the amount of water is measured and recorded on the evaluation sheet.
Tricky bicycle:
Teams must complete a slalom course using a specially designed three-wheeled tricky bicycle. Participants control the bike by shifting their body weight, but in reverse: leaning left makes the bike go right, and vice versa. It’s a very funny activity that requires a high level of concentration and skill.
Airsoft Balloon Hunt:
Participants must shoot a specified number of balloons of designated colors, floating in the air, using airsoft guns according to the instructions of the program leader. The game can vary by balloon color, quantity, number of shots, and distance.
Alert in the nuclear reactor:
A 4-meter “graphite rod” (wooden beam) must be placed into a vertical channel of the nuclear reactor’s cooling system, into a hole. The hole is located at the center of a circle with a 5-meter radius. Areas within the circle cannot be touched, no one can step inside, and no tools may be used. To move the rod, the team uses “steel cables” (ropes), which they must use to lift, maneuver, and accurately position the rod into the hole. Beyond team-based problem-solving, the activity provides the experience that a task that seems impossible at first can be easily accomplished through teamwork.
Movie recognition:
The team must identify famous classic films based on photos. They can write their answers in a table, which will be checked at the end of the program.
